Sysops
Sysops
are responsible for general assistance, however, some Sysops also have special
assignments in various sections (see below). If you have any questions about how to use the forum, post a new message and one of these friendly folks will answer you as soon as possible. To post a new message you have two choices: click on any of the sections under Board Folders in the left column and click on the "New" button or just click here and the "New message from ..." page will open. Select a Folder from the pull down box, type in a Subject and either leave the default "ALL" in the To box or select anyone with "Sysop" or "SL" (for Section Leader) in their name from the pull down list. Then type your message in the large open area and when you're finished click on the Post button at the bottom.
Jim Dellon and Alex
Krislov are the Chief Sysops and Forum Managers.
Jim is an award winning television Producer/Director specializing in cultural
and educational programming. In former lives, he has also directed commercials
and children's programs (Bozo the Clown), shot news and sports footage, edited
film and swept the studio floor. At this time, he is also concentrating on
the development of integrated digital media projects for a major university.
His interest in politics and political issues dates back to stuffing envelopes
during the 1960 Presidential campaign.
Alex has been working on CompuServe Forums dealing with books, news, politics
and UFOs since the early 1980s. A free-lance writer, he has written everything
from nuclear reactor documentation to horror comics. Alex lives in Cleveland,
Ohio, with his wife, children and four obnoxious cats.
David H. Tucker
David is a one time actor, professional historian, public relations practitioner,
community organizer and activist. He makes his living these days as a free
lance writer and Coast Guard licensed boat captain driving a water bus and
providing tourist guide services. He's interested in many subjects and can
fill in wherever he's needed.
Nate Lenow
Nate previously was a sysop on the Working from Home Forum for three years.
He has been self employed for sixteen years. Prior to that he worked in state
government, was active in local civic affairs for a number of years, and
is a member of too many professional associations (he says) and served on
many a committee. He was even elected to an officer in those associations
on occasion. When time permits, Nate will pen an article for publication.
He thinks it is great to go from Working from Home to working in the White
House and then to Political Debate.
Georgia Griffith (1931-2005) was
the Founder of the Political Debate Forum.
Georgia began as a Sysop in The Issues Forum in 1981. Her interests were varied
and she enjoyed learning about new fields. Georgia graduated from Capital
University in Columbus, Ohio with a music degree. Over the years after her
graduation she learned 12 foreign languages and a great deal about computers
but the main thing she learned was that much more information was waiting
for her to absorb. Georgia assisted with political activities locally from
time to time, which made her more aware of what we were voting for, what
the issues really were and how she could help her country. Georgia died on
September 14, 2005, after a short illness.
