Anyone is certainly free to make changes as they see fit. That is the whole idea.
But I also don't think there is anything wrong with *discussing* changes first. I wasn't 100% certain that what I had in mind (the TR alert level in TK5) was what you were explaining, so I asked first.
Also, as the content at BIwiki matures, hopefully a presumption that the content is accurate gets more and more reasonable. So, I'm trying to set an example of how to discuss questions about content (by using BIwiki page comments to setup a link to a discussion here). Also, I think the topic of TK5 Alerts might generate some discussion regardless of whether or not there were any questions about accuracy of the content.
Over the long term, I see a discussion thread here linked to each BIwiki page as a very valuable thing. For one thing, I could be a way to avoid discussing the same issue over and over again without adding anything new. If traditionally controversial topics like "yield on purchase price" or "cost to sell" were addressed at BIwiki, the underlying conversation/debate behind the content (as it evolved) would be preserved and readily accessible too.
