See if you can find a solution in the Service Pack Installation Checklist.     -Jerry

Already went through that, everything seemed in order.

Okay, I borrowed my neighboors XP SP2 CD, and the CD just hangs at the "Starting Windows" when booted from CD.  I think this computer just doesn't want SP2 on it.

Maybe KB310760 has a clue.

Thanks for the tip!  My only questions is, why would a XP SP2 CD not load and a regular XP CD will?  Does anyone know the difference when booted from CD-ROM?  If I can get the SP2 CD to boot, I think it'll install just fine, but the fact that it won't even startup and the regular XP CD will makes me wonder what SP2 is trying to load.

I have never heard of a case like that. So far as I knonw, Setup is identical. I'd be suspicious of the discs involved.
