My Stuff

The My Stuff button takes the user to his preferences page.

Appearing first are the user's Favorite (if any) and Recent Forums. Recent includes the last 50 forums the user visited. Selecting a forum name in the list goes to that forum's home page. Selecting the "New" in a forum's entry goes to that forum's Messages page. Selecting the icon to the left of a forum's entry adds/removes that forum from Favorites.

Waiting forum messages for the user will be displayed next to New.

Any active chats appear next.

Any Subscriptions (threads previously selected as High Interest) appear
next.

Then come your preferences. Click Update for each to set.

My Nickname: The user may set a Nickname for the current forum and/or a default Nickname for all forums. Forum specific Nicknames will override a default Nickname.

E-mail Notification: The user may turn e-mail notification of waiting messages off, or back on, here. This is a global setting.

Personal Signature: The user may create/edit a personal signature here.

Hide Signatures: The user may block the display of signatures in messages he reads here.

Message Formatting Editor: The user may choose to use the wysiwyg editor in browsers that support it here.

Maximum # of Messages per page: The user may select the number of messages displayed on a single page here. Default is three.

Member to Member Email: The user may enable/disable Member to Member Email here.

Time Zone: The user may set the time zone used for time stamps on messages he views and whether to automatically adjust the time for Daylight Savings Time.

My Picture: The user may select a picture (avatar) to appear on his messages. If a local image is chosen it will be resized as needed. For best results, choose an image 100 pixels wide and 150 pixels high or 2:3 ratio.
