October is breast cancer awareness month. Ladies, don't forget to get a mammogram. I like to suggest to my friends to give yourself a birthday present by having a mammogram done. But if you missed your birthday, October is a good time to be reminded and get it done.

Also, your click at THIS site helps give free mammograms to those who cannot afford them.

Thanks for the reminder, Crystal. And while we're on the subject, I am walking this year in the Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk on Oct. 18th. Watching three close friends receive diagnoses of BC last year really scared me ... so I am doing what I can to let them know I care.

This is the final week before the walk, so if anyone is interested in making a last-minute pledge, please click HERE. (I am the low lady on the team totem pole, and I need all the help I can get!)
