TELL US: IS SUCCESS ARRIVING TOO SWIFTLY FOR TAYLOR SWIFT?

It's been a 'Love Story' between Taylor Swift and her fans this past year, making her the talk of the country music town over the past year -- and not just because of Kanye West's infamous interruption at the MTV VMAs that had millions of viewers' hearts going out to her.

The 'Fearless' 19-year-old singer has set aside those 'Teardrops' on her guitar and dominated the country music charts, enjoying strong success as a crossover artist on the pop music scene, all the while earning a string of honors that many of her contemporaries could only dream of receiving at such a young age, including CMAs Entertainer of the Year, as well as five awards at the American Music Awards, including Favorite Artist.

However, some within the country music industry have questioned whether this Swift rise up the charts and all of the associated awards and accolades that have come along with it are arriving at too frantic a pace for such a young performer.  Click here to read more.

What do YOU think?  Is Taylor's rise to country music supremacy simply too swift or should Taylor have the right to proclaim the accolades 'Belong With Me'?

I really don't know what I think...  It seems to me that if you win everything before you are even 20 you are peaking way too early....I mean what is left for her to achieve?  Hopefully she will be able to motivate herself and keep going.  I just wonder if she will have staying power or will she end up one of those artists that come in, get hot fast then suddenly they disappear.  Guess time will tell.......

HI, Laura!

I agree with you that fame at such a young age could probably cause someone to feel jaded fairly quickly and leave them with nothing left to pursue in the future.  By the age of 25, she may simply be left waiting for the inevitable lifetime achievement award. :)

This also brings up the issue of celebs who write autobiographies at a young age.  I think Miley Cyrus has already written one, and it leaves one to wonder: Yes, without question, she's had an eventful life, to be sure, but how could one truly write their life story at such a young age?

Of course, none of this is meant to take away from the tremendous talent that these stars possess.  Without doubt, many of us would consider ourselves lucky to have even half of their talent/skills ... but it's also concerning when we've seen so many young stars head down the wrong path after the spotlight has gone.  Will they truly be able to handle that 'obscurity' once they're not topping the charts, if they've experienced such an enormous level of recognition before they've become 20-somethings?

I really don't know what to think, hopefully Taylor will keep a good head on her shoulders, she will remain confident and work hard.   Wasn't Leann Rimes also very successful at around age 14?  I just hope she doesn't turn out to be like Britney Spears, but I have a feeling Miss Swift is more firmly grounded.

I agree that Taylor DOES seem more grounded than Brit and LeAnn.  It is young for so much success but I hope she can make her career last a long time.

True, but Leann Rimes I believe has so much more vocal range and talent than Swift.

Blah blah blah - soccer Mom dialog! Swift is just a girl stuck in La La land. A real role model for kids everywhere. If you don't win the CMA award by 19 you blew it. This should foster a whole new generation of stressed out "I'm not beautiful and talented enough" young girls that are under waaaaay too much pressure from their stage Moms!!

Not only is Taylor Swift too young for all of these awards at once, I don't understand her popularity. Her voice is awful, she really doesn't carry a tune, and I don't consider her music to be anything near country music at all. Is it all the young kids voting for her? Like Miley Cyrus fans? It's time to get over it and get back to the real country stars who can actually sing.

Taylor Swift = Kiddie Country to me.  She can't sing, she can't write meaningful songs than anyone but a teenager can relate to and she definitely does not sing country music.... more like pop music with a pedal steel guitar!  I doubt she will ever be able to truly compete with the likes of Martina, Reba, Faith, Carrie, etc. In a couple of years the fake popularity will burn out and she will disappear just like many others.
