In Peter's words,"Spiritual Alchemy seeks to convert the everyday experiences of life into spiritually beneficial experiences. Simply by changing the point of view, something that was hitherto considered negative can be converted, or transmuted [by the alchemical process], into a positive. According to this philosophy, all things in creation take on a relative goodness or badness. For example, while most people consider wealth as inherently beneficial, the Alchemist does not do so... ."
"To the Alchemist, the end result, what is termed the real metal, is the matter of importance. The real metal [i.e. lead, silver, gold, etc.] is the effect of experience upon the the soul, or character."
