I have to admit I love fashion, though it has to be that little bit different - relaxing type clothes, unless I am really going somewhere exceptionally special.

The other day I found a web site, that all sort of different things on it, including lots of clothes.  What I love about this site, is that under the garments are verses, which relate to the garment.  Under the one's I've looked at anyway.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I will give you the web site address.

Hugs

When I was working my attire was mostly dictated.  Now that I am retired comfort is the only criterion.  If an event requires a suit it does not require me!  I am the dictionary picture for frumpish.

I was dreaming about you last night and there you stood, in a beautifully cut black suit - short skirt with very high heeled shoes on your feet!  You also had shoulder length hair!!

Just popped in to see if I could write in here now and yes, everything seems okay again <LOL>.  Perhaps it's me, I have the flu' or something wrong with me and today I have cried at the drop of a hat and as I have several hats, that has been quite often.   However, I am sure I am much better than I was <gg>.

I am so angry with the medical profession over here.  Re this Swine Fever.  Go to the doctor's surgery and it says on the door, something like: "Do Not Enter These Premises If You Have Swine Fever" and give you a telephone number to ring.  I noticed it, when I had to go there the other day.  Today I went to the Pharmacy and it says the same, but I don't think it gives a phone number.

It makes me wonder what on earth happens if you do have it!  What happens when you ring the number, do they say "Tough"?  Do they put a red cross on the front door?  Do they put a bell around your neck?

What is happening in the States?  Are they doing the same sort of thing?

Disillusioned

Well, I live so far out in the sticks that the post office doesn't even deliver.  I don't know what's happening in the cities but our little clinic just tells me they don't have Swine Flu vaccine and that I can't possibly have it anyway.  Well hell, I know I don't have it but I don't want to get it either.  I think along with the medical degree they also issue a God degree - most of them act like it.  Have you ever noticed that most surgeons drive white cars with red interiors?

Hope you're feeling better and survive the medical attention.

Hugs 'n Love, Frieda

Oh, well, I am treating myself, with my little ole grannies potions and notions.  I am not going to the doctor's to be put on something that they are not certain works anyway.  Also, as far as I can gather I am not as bad as a lot of other people and today excepting for an awful cough I feel a lot more energetic.  I am more afraid of the med's than I am of the illness, simply because sometimes I get a reaction that is even more negative.

Hugs

One advantage of living behind the back of beyond is our local clinic is never crowded.  One of my aunt's best cures was a cup of hot lemonade.  Works like a charm on flu.

These old fashioned remedies work wonders.  I inhaled something called Friar's Balsam.  I have just managed to find Camphorated Oil on line.  I took sips of brandy, which I loathe and detest, to stop coughing and drank my home made onion and garlic soup.  Not really hungry, so I also found Caster Oil & Malt - also on line.

Anyway, I rang up the doctor's surgery this morning and saw the doctor this afternoon.  They decided that whatever I had I was over now.  I go back next week IF I am not better!  Not better means a bad chest and feeling very low.

I have never tried hot lemonade, was that home made or purchased.  I am interested in these old remedies and I think I have virtually proved they work!  See what next week is like.  I will go on with the inhalation.

Love and hugs

The lemonade was home made (they weren't bottling or freezing it yet.)  It would break us out in a sweat almost immediately.  My aunt said we were sweating out the poisons.  She would make up a mustard plaster and slap it on our chests to break up thew congestion.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Hi!

Thanks for that, I will probably go and buy some lemons and make it.

To be honest I feel worse today than I did yesterday!  However, that could be due to a bad night's sleep.

I will be glad to get this virus or what ever it is out of my system. <sigh>

Hugs and love

Hope you're feeling better? I'm trying to get caught up, now that my computer is back from the repair shop where they (hopefully) removed the virus that wouldn't let me use Internet Explorer (and thus I was unable to get to *any* website, including here!)

Hi there!

I am pleased to see you back on line.

Well, I felt really ill and so depressed, however, I was rescued and enjoyed, just over a week, on the water.  Now, for the first time in weeks I feel I can catch up, before I found it too hard, everything became a problem!  I was told, by the doctor, that I did not have Swine Fever, it was a virus, however, what ever it was I wouldn't want it again - ever!  I just could not stop crying!  I wouldn't let anyone visit me incase I passed it on.

I always try to have two working computer's, because of my work!   One incase the other lets me down.  I ordered a new lap top well over a month ago and I am still waiting for it.  I always buy Dell.  I know some people don't like them, but I haven't had any complaints - just the delivery on this particular one.

Anyway, good to see you back!

Lots of love and hugs

Blessed Be!
