I posted this in Doglovers forum>>>

The pic was there yesterday--now it is gone---wondering why.

What I did to insert this pic---went to my Yahoo profile and copied it --then pasted it in the post.

Can't do much with graphics--working on that---I have pics on Windows XP--Comcast--sometimes they will copy from My pics and sometimes not---haven't got to the point where that is a priority.

If you can tell me which forum addresses such matters I will go there when I have time.

That message was deleted. You will need to ask the folks who run the Dog Lovers Forum why this happened.

Query: If a message is deleted, is a "file copy" maintained out of public view, or a memorandum kept as to why that action was taken...so that at some subsequent inquiry about WHY, the sysops in the Dog Lovers (in this case) Forum will have something more that human memory to refer to?

LOL--FYI---when you are responding to my queries---remember --I know very little of technical PC things. Windows XP/Dell user--and I am trying to learn all these 'puter things.

It is 'Hard'---but I want to do more with my computer. So I ask questions. Everyone in Compuserve has good suggestions and has been as helpful as any group I have found online.

Some--online are so far ahead of me when it comes to technology that they have not been able to communicate with me. And that makes me 'nervous'---Mac/Apple people especially--Techies.

So thank you for being patient.

The only way I've found to put pics in messages is the old fashioned way -- switch to HTML mode and type in the <img> tag.

When I have a chance I will look into this. However I have my forums set--just how Compuserve originally sets them, FYI--that is how I left them.

'Don't know nuttin about HTML---too 'hard'---Windows XP--it runs , I use it to post simple messages--want to learn --pics, graphics--havent' yet.

When I checked several days ago the messages were there. I have not received notification from an Administrator that any messages have been moved or deleted.

I have checked with the Sysop suggested. We communicated clearly---no further involvement on your part is needed at this time.

I have a busy life--when I checked hours after the original post the message was there--if it has been deleted--I wouldn't know--tired of the complexities of each forum --online is time consuming --I can find FYI more easily through my offline/RL sources.

Nancy has finally communicated via private message that my post was deleted--she 'thought' I was advertising--cannot do that unless you pay Compuserve--her forum.

I don't need to do that--have found what I need elsewhere--a few very kind and helpful posters in Yahoo.
