REACT: ELTON JOHN DENIED UKRAINE ADOPTION BID

A Ukraine official has announced that Elton John will not be allowed to adopt a 14-month old Ukranian child as, according to Ukrainian law, the pop star does not meet age and marriage requirements.

Although John entered into a legalized civil union with longtime partner David Furnish in the United Kingdom in 2005, Ukrainian law does not recognize same-sex marriage. The law also indicates that a parent must be no more than 45 years older than an adopted child. John is 62. Click here to find out more.
