I am saddened that Patrick Swayze has left this earth as we know it, but He is riding another race on an Arabian stallion across the desert now , and on this there can be no doubt. I remember dancing our little hooves off at his mother Patsy Swayze's studio in Houston off Ella Blvd. Dreams and work on being a dancer turned to Arabian horses and through the wonderful times and excitement of showing horses and living horses I would occasionally see Patrick at a show or and event as the Egyptian event in Lexington KY , an annual tribute to the Egytpian horse he loved so much. Those of us in the Arabian horse world respected Patrick for his good will and sincere attitude toward this breed and recognize the many kindnesses he and his wife shared with so many through out the world. Patrick demonstrated a special love and understanding for the Arabian horse that represents the emotional bond and superior sense of responsibility that one must have in order to be a great horse person, but then Patrick did bring all the experiences with him into his work. All the strengths are there in Patrick's movies, his charismatic personality, his dance skills, his life always full and very private. When watching a film he was part of you feel Patrick. He is not acting but following through each motion, moment by moment from within his very being the role is playing through. Ride on Patrick may you always finish the race!
