How to solve 9 sleep problems

Most of us have experienced those maddening midnight moments when, no matter how tired we are, we either can't fall asleep, can't stay asleep or our sleep is of such poor quality it feels as if we were awake. For anyone who has tossed and turned at night, here's some expert advice for solving nine sleep problems.

  • The night waker
  • The early bird
  • The chronic insomniac
  • The hormone sufferer
  • The worrier
  • The night owl
  • The overstimulated sleeper
  • The downtime seeker
  • The slow riser

I am the worrier.  At night, when I am lying there, that is when all the things that I have put off all day run through my mind.  I try not to worry about money at work, or in front of the kids, so it all comes out when I am lying down during my down time.  It is much better since I have been on day shift.  I do take 1/2 of an Ambien before I go to bed.  Not a full one.  I just take enough to put me over the edge.

Do you have any secrets to combat any of the above problems?  Please, please, please.....share them with us.

Honestly, No.  Like you I am the night time worrier.   My sleep is all messed up right now and I have stopped fighting it.  I don't go to bed until 12:30 a.m, and then I wake up when the hubby leaves for work at 3:30 a.m and can't get back to sleep until about six,  than I wake up about eight-thirty.   When and if I finally get a job,  that will have to stop some how.

I'm the hormonal one!  I am never up this late..but tonight I went out with a friend...drank too much green tea and I'm up past my bedtime! LOL

I fall asleep easy enough, but always wake up in the middle of the night.  Most times, I can go back to sleep.  But sometimes, I'll lie there for several hours, falling back to sleep right before it's time to get up.  Sometimes I'll have to get up and do a load of laundry or something in order to fall back to sleep.

I do think it's hormonal since I never used to have this problem.

I do think it's hormonal since I never used to have this problem.

If hormones make it worse, I am so screwed......

If hormones make it worse, I am so screwed......

Maybe it will have the opposite effect.
