Please can anyone give me the correct e-mail address to reach CS now their phone support has ended. The recorded message on their phone number sound like cacsots@cs.com (I am a bit deaf) but that and various combinations do not work. I am unable to use my CS browser, only csmail@compuserve.com so cannot use the contact facilities in the browser.

Any help much appreciated.

Robert

There is no email address for CompuServe support. You don't say where you are in the world? To locate your nearest helpline number go here

As far as I know, phone support is still available.

If you need help with your CompuServe 2000 program go here

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

I am using CS2000 and am in Montreal, Canada.

The problem is that I pay be credit card and recently changed to a new card with new number. I forgot to contact CS and so at months end my browser says "Invalid account" and I cannot log on.  That means I cannot reach the billing centre. Fortunately I find that using the Mozella internet browser I can still access my mail at csmail.compuserve.com. However that will not allow me to access the billing centre - it says I have to log on with my CS browser !!!

Latest is that both my wife and I tried to follow the recorded message on the CS access numbers. This is not easy to understand. After trying various combinations  found I found  "cacsops@cs.com" would work, so I await a response.

Thank you for your prompt advice, and perhaps I will get a reply from CS.

In order to edit your billing information you need to have a version of the CompuServe access software instaled on your computer and to use the GO word BILLING

If the helpline number for Canada has been discontinued then why not try the number of the USA?

Got that (CS software), tried that, but it will not let me connect (gives message "invalid account"). I have also tried the US number (506 855 4779) and there is absolutely no response (no ring even). I am surprised that I can access mail via csmail.compuserve.com when my account appears to have been closed.

I sent an e-mail to cacsops@cs.com yesterday morning but so far have had no response, not even an automated acknowledgement.

I am thinking of giving up and switching to gmail instead.

I don't see that number listed anywhere in the customer support information for the USA at the link I gave you? I don't know where you obtained this number?

You don't have to be a CompuServe member to use this service. Anyone with a free AIM screen name can logon there.

It seems another member was successful using this address

Received a call from CS this afternoon. Looks like the e-mail worked. They sorted out the new card number and I am now back on line.

Many thanks for your help. Incidentally, the phone number I used was that shown on my browser.
