Mark, thanks for the reply - you pose an interesting solution, however I'm not sure if my clients, when given the entire list of employees, wants to scroll through the entire list to select a particular active employee. In other words, I deal with an industry with high turnover, I have some clients who have 100+ employees in their table and 70+ are no longer active.
I think I'm first going to give Dale's suggestion a try - to separate the value from the combo box, and see if I can figure that out.
