[Msg # 904.1 ]
My beloved rescue Himalayan, Buddy, passed away on Tuesday. I had him for about 2 1/2 years, adopting him from his original rescuer, who had him about six months, but could not keep him. He was a very beautiful cat, in spite of physical problems, and had the sweetest nature of any cat I ever had. Buddy was his original rescuer's name for him, and it is not a very glamorous name for a fancy breed of cat, but it was very appropriate--he was a wonderful little friend and I will always miss him. Due to my own advanced age, I probably won't get another cat, but he will always be in my heart. Martha F

No matter how long we have then, be it a short time or a long time, they work their way into our hearts. Buddy will be missed. I am sorry for your loss.
Have you considered getting a senior citizen cat as a companion in your life? Not as a replacement for Buddy, but as a friend to share the hours with.
And older cats really have a hard time getting a new home.
