Hugs Lynda, Did you ever get your neighbour's Aran sweater done?  You are one of the very few knitters i know that no matter if you put your work down and go do something else, come back and work on it more, your stitches are so very even.

Hugs Lynda, well maybe his birthday is in the spring ? or Easter? or you might want to finish it in time for next Christmas?

I wanted to link you a page of sweaters that my mum used to knit.  Problem with the wool is - the strands are very coarse and she used to rub her fingers raw where the yarn went over her fingers. (These are not my mum's  - just very very similar to the ones she knit)

Hiya Dar, hugggs.......

I have never been a crafty person however got involved with a organization and somehow got on the table decorating committee.  May have been the glass of wine at lunch but anyway, these are very talented people and the decorations are outstanding.  I will post a few later as soon as I get some copies.  The group of ladies are fun and they find something for me to do.  I have made a few items and quite impressed...  photo's to follow.  Point being is even if one does not think they can accomplish a craft, until they try one will never know....

I certainly would think so..  many of the craft fairs I attend have many knitted, crotchet items as well as hand sewed, and you are very good at what you do <s>

WOW...I love those Dar...esp the first one.....do you know if it's possible to get patterns for them? I know I wouldn't be able to get the exact wool here but I'm sure I could find an equitable weight.
