The World Series is right around the corner! Have you ever been to one? Have you ever been to a playoff game? (Barb DeVico, I know you'll be going to one!) Did your team make the playoffs? (You-know-who's did <g>)

And on the baseball note, one of our scopists here on the CRF, Betts Fleming, has some pretty cool baseball stories. Her dad played for the Yankees in the late '30s early 40s era. He also played with the Phillies, and others about that time. He went on to manage minor league clubs and eventually retired as a scout for the Mets.

It hurt a little, but as the guy said, the more you want the tattoo, the less the pain is ;) My sister Kim was my "coach" -- kept telling me to do the whoo-whooo-whooo breathing <g> In fact, she taped some of it with her camera and it's on my Facebook page. If I could figure it out, I'd post it here. What a riot!

So what do you think about Betts' dad?? Isn't that unbelievable, his baseball career? I have to tell her I started this thread so she can tell us some of her stories.

I'd love to hear Betts' stories.
And what I'd really love to hear at this point is am I going to the stadium on Wednesday or Thursday. Geez, Louise, this is getting ridiculous, Detroit and Minnesota. (I'm rooting for Minnesota, if that makes any difference, and Karen, can you guess why?)
This time, Karen, watch for us in section 330 in case of foul ball footage. I'll try to do my same dance/wave :)

I hope it's Thursday since they're forecasting rain for Wednesday. Yuk! I'm sure you'd rather sit and be cold than sit around during a rain delay waiting for a late start.

I just read that after the Tuesday night game to determine the AL Central Division winner, the Yankees have an hour to announce their decision.

We shall see! And I'll look for you in Section 330!! Hey, at least you can get a closer look at Damon. Bring some binoculars!!

Well, I heard this morning it's set for Wednesday, against somebody. I hear the rain is supposed to clear out by game time, and it's not supposed to be too cold.

It's definite for Wednesday? Where did you hear that? It's not on their website yet. I know that's the best option for them because that involves the longer series with days off in between.

Congrats on your new tattoo, Karen! I have to admit that I'm not a baseball fan, but I can totally relate to the FANatacism comment as I am a huge fan of Nascar racing :) I have seven tattoos and my biggest piece of advice about that is don't itch and stay moisturized ;) Good luck to your team!
