When those periods should get added is during translation. Have you checked your translation options? Are you using the correct page layout when you translate? Also, if you tinkered with the page layout itself, that will not change anything in the transcript once it's already translated, not even if you re-apply the layout. You'd have to retranslate to get that to "take."The Catalyst manual says: "Ending punctuation only applies during translation. When you change the ending punctuation for a paragraph style during Edit or in Layout, the change does not apply unless you retranslate."

All I meant about checking your translation options was to see that you had the correct page layout chosen. No, there is nothing in translation options about a period at the end of a sentence. I hope you can track this down! It wouldn't be fun to have to add all those periods later.
You DO need to get to the bottom of this and figure out why it's not working, but until then why not just translate with the page layout that works and DON'T apply the other layout until you finish realtime? Maybe all the periods would stay in there then.
And the search for {no ending punctuation}. How and what do I search for in the search box in the dictionary?
