All:

An article in People's Pharmacy (Oct 27, 2009)  addresses the problem of Erectile Dysfunction and statin drugs which lowers cholesterol. The Graedon's, managers of People's Pharmacy, found an article in Drug Safety (July 2009) finding  statin drugs such as, Crestor, Lipitor, and Zocro can cause ED.  The side effect may be rare, or maybe underreported, the article states.

If you have experienced this disturbing side effect from a cholesterol lowering drug, rather than stopping the medication, discuss the problem with your health care provider in order to find an acceptable solution.  High cholesterol levels are frequentaly responsible for strokes and heart attacks, and it is for that reason one should continue on a regimen prescribed by one's physician.
