What Nidal M. Hasan did at the home of the 1st Air Cav is not forgivable but...

In compassion for ourselves we as Americans need to erase terms like "Camel Jock" from out language and thoughts.

Yes it is. The only unforgivable sin is failling to ask for forgiveness.

That said, not many people would ever forgive him. But there are those who would, and I'd almost bet that at least one parent of a victim of his has already forgiven him. Some people take forgiveness very seriously.

The US Justice system does not. One does not see "WWJD?" engraved above judicial benches.

I absolutely agree, but feel like I need to point out that he was from Virginia (yet another reason to think twice before casting such aspersions).

Just to be clear, I'm not saying he should be forgiven. It's certainly a horrible, awful thing he apparently did, and based on what I know now, I don't think he can be punished harshly enough But some people are very forgiving, and it's not just technically possible but really possible that some of those directly victimized could forgive him.

What is the relationship of the term "Camel Jock" to the shooting?

While I can not tell you what the term "Camel Jockey" has to do with the shooting.

I can tell you that it gets applied to many folks who have never even so much as SEEN a camel.

It is a phrase that is used by only three types of people

1: People, who, like you, say, in essence, "What the devil are you talking about" (nothing wrong with that)

2: People who try to explain what is being talked about, hopefully honestly (Again nothing wrong with that)

3: Bigots.. (Big problems with that)

So..... Now you know

It is a bigot's name for someone of Arbaic descent or.. today it's often applied to folks who have never been to that part of the world but who read, and speak Arbaic as a condition of their religion.

I could give you a number of other words or phrases that belong in the same waste can.

But would rather not type that language.

I am an imperfect Christian. Forgiveness is difficult.

Probably I should have said "What Nidal M. Hasan did at the home of the 1st Air Cav is unpardonable."
