Stanley,
The Statue of Liberty may say it all, but do not confuse democracy and freedom with anarchy.
The immigrants who came to the U.S. and helped build the country wanted to become part of America and not to transport a seperate culture and language to t his country.
I'm seeing the same thing with immigration in the U.S. which I saw to a great extent while working in Canada. People with educations and skills who could contribute to society had to wait for years and jump through the required hoops. Meanwhile, illiterates with no skills are allowed to "jump the line" and contribute nothing but votes for those who would give them hand outs.
If you want to immigrate to Slobovia or Xanadu, then accept the fact that you need to learn Slobovian or Xanauian and not complain if thing don't go swimingly if you refuse to do so and reject the culture, or stay the hell at home.
