Hi, Keith.

A member in Practice has been having problems posting here. I'm wondering now if it is because he's addressing a member named Richard who goes by the usual nickname that starts with a D.

Do you know if you have moderation turned on here for naughty words? Do you know if there are any messages waiting in the queue for review before they're posted here?

Yes his posting was being held which I released.  However, there was messages in the discussion which started it May which had been answered and he responded to.

Thanks for looking into the matter for Roger. I'll suggest he not use Richard's nickname here in the future.

Hi Tim,

I'll suggest he not use Richard's nickname here in the future.

I took Richard's nickname off the list.  If there is a problem, which I doubt there will be, I will but it back on.

Betty:

As you know, in the Multi Media Folder, thread "WMP Codecs for MPeg4,"  my numerous attempts to post a message responding to message #9 had apparently failed.  But now, beginning with message 11 at
http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-windowsfun&nav=messages&msg=69725.11

you have released all of my responses to message #9  --- all six of them, with four of the last five essentially being duplicates of the first, given that I thought my first response and my subsequent retries all were lost.  (As you know, they had been put on hold because I had started them with the name used by the poster of the message to which I was responding, said name being a nickname for Richard.)

Thank you, very much, for releasing those messages.  Now I know that "Your post has been submitted for approval" may mean that one's post contains a "bad word."

However, the thread has gone from famine to feast, due to all of my excess messages.  But at the moment, no one has responded to any of my messages, so I am hoping you can delete the extraneous ones.

I suggest retaining all messages through #11, and then deleting all of my experimental attempts to get my message to post:  #12, #13, #14, #16, and #17.  Message #15 is by Iain Noble, but its content is mostly mine --- he apparently was attempting to post my message for me (I had made it available on the Practice forum).  If you want to delete that also, Mr. Noble has a message to which you could respond publicly or privately, at
http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?nav=messages&tsn=6&tid=1962&webtag=ws-practice

After my last "Your post has been submitted for approval"  posting failure, I had sent my message privately to Richard C., and he replied privately to me at my Netscape email address.  If you can get rid of the extraneous messages, I will try to post Richard C's reply as a public message (assuming I still have it in its original form), because it has some interesting information.

    Thanks again.

Roger Folsom
