This is a technical question.  I don't know if this is the right place to discuss it.  I have Windows Media Center installed on a HP laptop running Vista.  I have been using a HP Express Card digital/analog TV tuner to play TV from Comcast cable.  It has been working perfectly for several months until the last few days.  Now I can view only a limited number of TV channels:  the local stations mostly,  The rest bring up a message: One Moment Please.  This channel should be available shortly.  But none of the many channels getting this message ever come up.  I have rebooted the computer many times, and removed the TV tuner card and re-inserted it.  Can anyone help?

Hi,

I'm not familiar with the technology, but if some channels are working and many others are not, it does suggest there is nothing wrong with your computer or tuner card, but rather there are less channels available on the Comcast cable. Your best bet would be to contact Comcast to see if they are supplying all the expected channels.

Thanks Keith, I'm sure you are right.  What caused me to pause was that all Comcast channels were available on another TV in the house but using a different cable box.  In a day or two, all channels became available again on the Comcast modem used by Windows Media Center on my laptop.  So my guess would be that the modem was having problems.  I did unplug it from both power and cable, but that didn't help originally.

Thanks again...cmaer99
